Due to the current condition of our state and how these economic factors have contributed to the significant increase in anxiety and depression, sliding scale fees are available. Damari Pedroza is a bilingual, LMHC, CFTP - Certified Family Trauma Professional, CATP - Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional who is also trained in ADHD.
She has a passion to help individuals, couples, and families by guiding them to explore and make the necessary changes needed in order to live a healthier lifestyle, despite the many daily challenges individuals and families may face. Utilizing various approaches such as talk therapy, play therapy, and sand tray therapy she provides clients of all ages the opportunity to heal and grow.
Ms. Pedroza is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who obtained her masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from NYACK, The Alliance Graduate School of Counseling. She has years of experience with clients of all ages and understands the differing needs of each client.
Teresa Robbins is a MHC-LP who identifies herself as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color). Ms. Robbins graduated from NYACK, The Alliance Graduate School of Counseling where she received her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Ms. Robbins has experience working with children and families in the foster care system and assisting families that were facing domestic violence.
She also has experience working with individuals that have intellectual disabilities as well as traumatic brain injuries.
Ms. Robbins provides both individual, family, and group therapy. She enjoys working with children and families and teaching them coping skills in order to communicate effectively.
She encourages and supports individuals and families by providing a safe space when joining with each person.

Sand tray therapy may appear to be child's play however, it is a highly therapeutic and multidimensional form of therapy that can provide emotional release for both children and adults. This relaxed and interactive setting of sand play provides individuals with safety and an atmosphere free of threats that allows for the healing process to begin.
We use Play therapy as a tool to guide kids become aware of their thoughts and feelings to help them express themselves in positive ways. It can help them to manage their anger, improve their self-control and work on increasing empowerment and confidence. It can also help them manage fear, anxiety and depression, as well as enhance their problem-solving skills.
